Firstly, wood-firing, an ancient technique, serves to study and learn about its wide range of aesthetic opportunities to achieve one's artistic vision.
Secondly, the demonstration of a wide range of construction techniques for sculpture, pottery and contemporary ceramics open new artistic paths for the works to be made by each one. All works will be wood fired in the Sasukenei - smokeless kiln.
Thirdly the focus of the course will be on the individual artistic development of each participant. With the diversity of ceramic techniques sometimes left a little in the background, the focus on the artistic progression of each individual is vital.

3:00 pm: Reception and check-in of participants;
4:00 pm: Reception at the Atelier and small presentation by the group and trainers; Theoretical introduction to the course;
7:30 pm: Welcome dinner at Casa das Artes;
July 20th to 28th:
Course from 10am to 6pm*, with a two-hour lunch break;
*The schedule is flexible on the day of baking and baking of the pieces. During cooking in the Sasukenei - Smokeless Oven, students will be distributed in shifts.
Workshop open between 6pm - 9pm
July 29th:
Until 11am - check-out from the accommodation.
The price of the Ceramics and Wood Firing course includes:
. Integration into a small work group (6 to 10 participants in total)
. Training lasting 6 hours a day, spoken in English and with support in Portuguese;

You can cancel within 14 days of registration by paying the respective transfer fees. In accordance with EU consumer protection legislation, the course fee will not be refunded after 14 days after registration. However, the amount will be fully refunded if the training cannot be carried out due to a lack of sufficient students.
