10h30 – Concentration and briefing at EcoMuseu Tradições do Xisto, Aigra Nova
. This true living museum takes us on an incredible journey through the human and environmental side of the Serra da Lousã, showcasing the life and traditions of these villages.
11h00 – Theoretical session - Visit to the Environmental Interpretation Centre and the Tree Maternity
. In this educational space, learn about the process of tree reproduction and celebrate the strength of Mother Nature with a unique nursery of thousands of native tree and shrub species, ready to replant green across the country.
12h00 – Adoption of a native tree
13h00 – Lunch at Manjar da Aldeia, Aigra Nova
15h00 – Practical session – Building an insect hotel and hunting mimosa
. Insect hotels are a true natural refuge for biodiversity, providing a safe haven for pollinators and natural predators. Together, we will not only build a space for them, but also take part in a real “mimosa hunt,” a joint effort against the threat of invasive species and in favor of the preservation of native species.
