"Erstaunliche Erfahrung. Die Art und Weise, wie die Dorfgemeinschaft uns aufgenommen hat, war wirklich außergewöhnlich. Sie haben uns das Gefühl gegeben, integriert und sehr willkommen zu sein. Der Kohleintopf („Couvada“) war sehr gut und der Besuch zu den Weinkellern war außergewöhnlich. Das Beste war das gesellige Zusammenleben mit allen Menschen in der Ortschaft. Wir haben es geliebt und, wenn wir die Möglichkeit haben, werden wir sicherlich nächstes Jahr wiederkommen."

"Encontrei a Casa da Madeira por um acaso e sem dúvida que correspondeu ao que procurava. A casinha é muito acolhedora, com todas as comodidades e com uma lareira/recuperador que tornaram o ambiente de Inverno mágico. A marcação do pequeno-almoço com antecedência relembra a importância da sustentabilidade e do desperdício zero.
No fim, tivemos a sorte de ver veados e a raposa a passear pela aldeia."

"I LOVED my time in Talasnal in Casa da Urze! I did not know there were different parts of the house for rent so that is something to be away of. I had the top floor apartment, and it was perfect for me.
I enjoyed being in Talasnal and the apartment so much that I never left during the four nights that I was there.
Emídio and his wife are just the nicest people. They made me a nice breakfast every morning and I could eat outside on their gorgeous terrace. Every place they rent has a gorgeous view and is in a lovely part of the tiny village (all of it is lovely though!)
There was a cafe near the apartment that was open most days, one that was open every day, and a couple of restaurants. There is a small market but if you want to cook you should plan ahead and bring groceries with you.
I cooked in the apartment but also ate dinner at Emídio and his wife's restaurant one evening which was one of the best meals I've even had. Simple but absolutely delicious.
I'd definitely go back to Talasnal and I would definitely stay in Casa da Urze!
