Rita Pereira, in mid-2015, enrolled in the Fine Arts degree at the University of Porto, specializing in visual arts - painting. After earning her degree, she collaborated with the Associação Oficinas do Convento at the Telheiro da Encosta do Castelo, where she first encountered ceramics. Through the production of bricks and handmade tiles, she developed her knowledge of clay as well as her initial experiences with wood-fired kilns.
Her work with clay also sparked an interest in earthen architecture and the vast possibilities that clay offers.
In 2024, she began collaborating with Cerdeira-Home for Creativity in the ceramics studio. Here, she continues to develop her craft, teaching introductory ceramics workshops and assisting with long-term courses.
