"I must admit that I was looking for a restful weekend with my girlfriend as a break from the daily grind... We wanted to escape from Lisbon, turn off the phone and get back in touch with nature. A refuge. It was beyond all expectations!! The house with the fire in the hearth, the friendly owner, the beauty of the surroundings. Arriving there in the evening at the end of the working week, feeling welcomed as though we belonged there, was like stepping into another dimension. I think we’re all looking for this at some point :) Talasnal is a place to mark on the map and the House is without a doubt a place to return to... Thank you :)"

"Thanks for the wonderful stay in Pampilhosa da Serra and special thanks to the excellent staff of the Villa Pampilhosa Hotel and the chef and the whole team at the Buke restaurant. We had an excellent, relaxing stay. We loved the room, the cleanliness, the quiet, the wonderful SPA circuit and the robes and towels thoughtfully provided for enjoyment of the Turkish bath, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. The hotel staff helped us plan our visit to the aldeias de xisto, river beaches and the Santa Luzia reservoir we managed to see everything in a single day. The meals at the hotel were also wonderful as were the breakfasts. We really want to go back, mainly for the friendly people and the peace and quiet. Congratulations. Thank you. "

"A beautiful house in a very special location. The details in the house were very special, supplied breakfast very welcome! We loved driving around and visiting the river beaches, but our favorite was Açude do Pinto, very close to us. We had dinner in Oleiros one night, a simple restaurant called Regional. The food was very nice, home made feeling that took me back to my childhood. Excellent price and portion size. We had two days at Casa do Dão, restful and relaxing days in a beautiful part of the world."

"Gostámos muito na estadia da Casa da Ribeira. Fim-de-semana para quem deseja muita tranquilidade. A casa estava muito limpa, com o conforto necessário. A cozinha está muito bem equipada. A D. Fátima foi muito atenciosa no processo de chek-in e chek-out. Na aldeia de Água Formosa tem poucos habitantes mas é muito bonita! Dá para fazer umas pequenas caminhadas. Só existe na aldeia uma loja de souvenirs aberta. Não há nenhum café aberto. "

"An amazing experience. The way the village community welcomed us was quite extraordinary. They made us feel like we belonged there and very welcome. The cod with cabbage is very good and the visit to the wine cellars was exceptional. The best thing was spending time with all the people of the area. We loved it and if we get the chance we'll be back for sure next year."
