Paper Clay Course
*Price per person

Serra da Lousã

In the Paperclay and Paperporcelain Course, taking place from 24 to 29 September at Cerdeira - Home for Creativity, participants have the opportunity to explore paper and porcelain, discovering their delicacy, unique properties and endless creative possibilities. To use special materials that need an equally special treatment, there's no one like ceramicist Patty Wouters to guide them.

After an introduction to paperclay and paperporcelain, followed by a practical demonstration, the artist shares with the group the distinct qualities of paperclay, its advantages and ways of handling it. Over 5 days, participants will learn and practise different techniques and follow the entire ceramic process, from preparing the paste to firing (1300ºC).

This is a course that enables the creation of a series of porcelain pieces, designed and created individually by each participant with the support of the trainer and assistants.
