Located in Carvalho, in one of the valleys of the Bussaco mountain range, Quintinha da Azenha was, as its name suggests, a grain mill powered by the waters of the Ribeira de Aveledo.

The building has been restored and converted into comfortable accommodation. It's the ideal place for a weekend getaway or a mini-vacation and for those who enjoy hiking, tranquillity, nature and privacy.

The house has two sections: one with a double bedroom, a kitchen and living room with a fireplace, a bathroom and an almost intact mill; and the other with a double bedroom, a private bathroom and a balcony.

Guests can enjoy the pleasant outdoor space where there is a picnic table. There are some fruit trees by the stream.

Emídio Lopes e Maria José

Memories of Scout camping trips next to the old Talasnal primary school, are what brought Maria José back to the village, 30 years later. This time with Emídio and a tourist project they were to develop together. In 2005, they bought the only house that was for sale. Casa da Urze and O Retalhinho also bring back memories. Memories can be very sweet.
