Casa do Rosmaninho is located near the village of Benfeita. Built of schist and restored in harmony with its layout and materials on 3 floors.

On the first floor there is a hall, living room with television, double bedroom with a cot, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom is large, with a comfortable bed, especially designed by the designer of the restoration project, with a large cot, schist walls and wooden floor and ceiling, wardrobe and two large windows.
On the 2nd floor there is a large bedroom with several beds and an en-suite bathroom. The walls are of schist, the ceiling and floor are wooden. There is a wood stove for heating and two windows with panoramic views to the Açor hills. There are stoves on all floors.

The house is easy to access and identify as it is located on the edge of the main road, has its name on outer wall and all shutters painted in the recognizable colour of rosemary.

Emídio Lopes e Maria José

Maria José Sousa and Emídio Lopes have been married for 28 years. They are dynamic people who like challenges and travel. Maria José lived in Côja as a teenager, so she knows the region well. A few years ago they decided to give new life to a schist house, which was abandoned and at risk of collapse. They restored the house and unearthed its history and past life.

"A Localização, fica muito próximo da Fraga da Pena e a 30 min de Piodão. Os Anfitriões foram muito simpáticos e prestáveis. A casa é muito aconchegante e bem decorada, adorei os detalhes. A cozinha está super bem equipada e a salamandra é a cereja no topo do bolo. O pequeno almoço foi bastante agradável. Apesar de não haver muito comércio proximo há um restaurante e merceria com bastante qualidade a 2 min a pé. " February 24, 2022
