Vilar dos Condes is a haven of silence. Six country houses that preserve the original schist features and take us back to the origins of the Pinhal people. Teresa didn't leave anything to chance, the houses are exquisitely decorated. And after a good night sleep, she presents you with a typical countryside breakfast, full of treats.

A pleasurable evening tasting medronho from Vilar dos Condes at the Adega, either chilled or at room temperature, is one not to be missed. A schist house with a wood-fired oven where you can show off your culinary skills and then taste them in the private “Cantinho do Xisto” dining area. The schist interior warmly embraces you.

Teresa Almeida was born close by. Her destiny was to join the family business, in a Lisbon street. She came across a ruin in one day, while on a day out. Love at first sight can also, although rarely, happen with places. And our dreams can sometimes conjure up plans that neither engineers, nor architects, nor poets manage to put to paper. Only the dreamers know how to fulfil them. Teresa Almeida and Susana Dias are at your disposal to ensure that you have a memorable stay, that will make you want to return.

"Eu e minha família passamos o Natal no Vilar do Condes (Casa do Forno e Caniço), e foi ótimo! Uma experiência incrível! As casas e o vilar são muito aconchegantes e charmosos. Toda a experiência foi extremamente agradável. A atenção aos detalhes na decoração e a hospitalidade da Teresa e Daniela fizeram toda a diferença. Gostaria de deixar um comentário especial à Daniela (que todos os dias nos fez um pequeno almoço delicioso) pela atenção e carinho na véspera de Natal por deixar na casa bolos e delicias natalícias. Com certeza eu voltarei com amigos, família ou somente com meu companheiro para aproveitar o Vilar e a região também no verão. "We received a friendly welcome from Susana, who had already heated up the house for us :) The house has been restored to a very high standard and has super original decor, with features that I think must belong to the old house. It has direct access to a shared, enclosed garden, which our dogs loved. Inside the house there is no mobile phone connection, which was not a problem for us as we wanted the feeling of remoteness. Breakfast was good too, but there could have been more variety. Susana gave us some tips on places to visit during our stay. The house was cosy and super clean." April 09, 2019
