Located in the centre of Aldeia do Xisto da Cerdeira, Casa do Mel pays homage to an ancestral tradition of Serra da Lousã, the production of honey, recalling the immemorial times of community life in the village.
The entrance is on the ground floor, where you'll find the social area, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove and sofa. On the upper floor is the bedroom with a small balcony where you'll find a marvellous view over the traditional roofs of the schist houses and the Ribeira da Cerdeira valley. We've chosen not to put a television in so that you can fully enjoy the tranquillity of this village.
The schist houses are equipped for long-term stays. During your stay, you can take the opportunity to attend one of the many creative courses and experiences organised by the School of Arts and Crafts.
Cerdeira - Home for Creativity is also prepared to host events, such as retreats or team building meetings, making the Casa da Aldeia (Village House) available for up to 12 people.

The Cerdeira Home for Creativity project emerged from the love and affection of two families who decided to rebuild the traditional houses of the village, maintaining their authenticity and uniqueness. These two families were joined by several people who are in the village every day to welcome you with a smile.
